Beginning Monday, April 18, the section of the Sam’s Branch Greenway between Covered Bridge Road and the Ashcroft Subdivision will be closing to the public.
The closure is needed as a public safety measure, while a new transmission pipeline is put in to convey wastewater to the Sam’s Branch Water Reclamation Facility, which is currently under construction.
Due to the use of heavy equipment in this area, we ask that the public heed all closures and do not cross any barricades or closed signs on the greenway.
During this planned closure, we encourage the public to take advantage of other paved greenways in the area. This section of the greenway is expected to be closed until the winter season.
