The Town of Clayton is a 911 emergency community. For ANY police response - DIAL 911.
The Clayton Police Department is a nationally accredited law enforcement agency with 57 full-time sworn police officers and four civilian staff members. The department serves nearly 29,000 citizens within the jurisdiction of the Town of Clayton, North Carolina, and covers a service area of 13. 51 square miles.
The Clayton PD is divided into three divisions: Administrative, Special Operations and Patrol. Police protection is provided 24 hours a day / 365 days a year and is facilitated with the assistance of the Johnston County 911 Communications Center.
The department is dedicated to the highest possible level of services to the residents of Clayton and takes pride in building strong community partnerships.
